Pastor Joshua Ong has been serving in Asian American Churches since 2000. Beginning as a Jr. High Intern and now serving as the English Pastor, he has served in California, Arizona, Ohio, Texas, and is currently serving at Trust in God Baptist Church in New York City. Being fluent in English and Mandarin, Pastor Ong has led several mission trips to Asia in the past 5 years. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, reading, and watching basketball.

Rev. Howard Li served as our Senior Pastor from 2006 until 2016. He is now our Interim Chinese Pastor and Church Missionary pastoring the Chinese congregation and making regular trips teaching bible in oversea mission fields. He and his wife, Jennifer, have two married children, Andrew and Cynthia.

To have a deep knowledge of the Bible is always my dream. This is because it is the best way for me to know my Lord. After three years undergrad religious studies training and three years seminary study, I learned so much about the Bible but I do not want my life to just stop in the library. Through the internship opportunity I had last fall, I learned how to use my knowledge to serve people in the church. I wish one day I can be a full time minister and use what I know to help people and serve God.

Chris is a Maryland native and graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor of Science in Business. She attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas and received her M.Div with a concentration in Biblical Languages. She is currently serving as the Women's Minister discipling and teaching the women of TIG about God's word while also teaching them about the wonderful world of pies and Crossfit. On her free time she enjoys instagramming her food and instragramming others instagramming their food.

Hey y’all! My name is Colby Thompson and I’m the intern here at Trust in God Baptist Church. I come from an extremely small town in West Texas and graduated from Tarleton State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. I serve in the children’s ministry and the youth ministry, as well as English conversation groups at NYU. I’m addicted to coffee and since moving here have found a deep love for dumplings. I’m passionate about loving others well, sharing Jesus every chance I get, and glorifying God in all things.
